In the small town of Mt. Airy, Georgia, 80 miles northeast of Atlanta, you will find the Cody Road Workshops, opened in 1994 by Tommy and Kathy Walker. Tommy has been designing and making furniture for over 35 years with a vision to provide well-made products, customizable by the client, that will last for generations.
Pieces are built using Premium grade Eastern white pine, with table tops available in other woods such as oak and maple. Every type of furniture piece is available from Cody Road Workshops, including chairs and benches, and accessories such as shelves and lamps. They offer several style collections such as Country Traditional, Cottage, Country Sophisticate, and Shaker. With any of their furniture pieces, a number of traditional paint colors and stains are available, and all pieces are coated with clear lacquer which is readily available at home centers. In addition, 3 levels of distressing are offered to reflect the consumer's choice of that period antique look, as well as options such as hand-planing of select table tops.
